About SmartAlpaca.org
Hi! I’m Sandrine Coosemans, and SmartAlpaca.org is my brain child.
I’ve had my own business since 2011: first as a freelance personal/virtual assistant, before going into marketing around 2015. As my business grew and I began outsourcing, subcontracting, and collaborating with other freelancers, I realised how reliable information that is specific (not for coaches or “online business owners”) and relevant when you’re way past starting your business, is hard to find.
So I started sharing information simply with the freelancers I worked with. Then my library grew with a collection of resources created for and with members of my mastermind.
Then I realised a good part of it should not be just for my friends or hidden behind a paywall, but accessible to everyone. Because I meet so many people who could use this stuff! But it didn’t quite fit on my business website (smartalpacamarketing.com), as that one’s all about growing a following and selling group programs (online courses, a membership site, or group coaching). And while that may be exactly what some of us help our clients do, it’s not at all the best way to run and grow our own business as a freelancer or consultant.
That is how SmartAlpaca.org became its own website.
Who this website is for
SmartAlpaca.org is built for people like me. People who have their own solo business and offer online services to other business owners or organisations.
It doesn’t matter if you call yourself a freelancer or consultant, or whether you’re a designer, developer, copywriter, tech person, strategist, or are having some trouble describing what you do in just one word. What matter is that, like me, you believe that we can all learn from each other and lift each other up by working together.
What this website is about
More than anything, this website is very much under construction. As I was already sharing some of its contents with fellow freelancers, I’ve made the decision to take it online before it’s finished – this page will be fleshed out and our messaging clarified sometime soon.
In the meantime, don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’d like to collaborate with me in any way!
